Shario (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data of the two people who share a home here. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how you stay in control.

1. Information we collect

We collect only the data necessary to run your shared home.

  • Name and email address
  • Household name and preferences
  • Lists, tasks, notes, goals, memories and finance entries you create
  • Device and browser information used to keep sessions secure

2. How we use your information

We use your data to:

  • Provide and operate Shario
  • Sync the week between the people in your home
  • Prepare suggestions that you explicitly approve
  • Improve reliability, performance and support
  • Keep the service secure and prevent misuse

3. AI and your data

Nook may prepare a list, draft a plan or suggest a small change. It only uses the household content needed for that request and never acts without a person approving it.

Your private check-ins and private notes are not surfaced to the other person, and your content is not used to train public models.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

  • Infrastructure providers that host and secure the service
  • Email providers that deliver invitations and password resets
  • Legal authorities when required by law

5. Data security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit and at rest, scoped access controls, and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep the surface small.

6. Your rights

You can, at any time:

  • Access and export your data
  • Correct your information
  • Ask for your account to be deleted
  • Leave a shared home without losing your own private content

7. Retention

We keep your data for as long as your home is active, and for up to 14 days after you close it so you can export anything you need. Backups age out on a rolling schedule.

8. Third-party services

Shario integrates with calendar, email and storage providers. Each has its own privacy policy, and you choose whether to connect one.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. If a change materially affects your privacy, we will tell you inside the app before it takes effect.
